Volume 10Issue Number 2 February 2001 ISSN 10593802 Detection of Bladder Cancer by Survivin in UrineAn antibody-based detection of survivin may be a simple one step noninvasive method to diagnose early-stage bladder cancer or to monitor therapy effect. Survivin gene product is known to inhibit apoptosis. Overexpression of survivin is observed in many cancers and is associated with poor prognosis.
