Microarray Technique to Identify Hereditary Breast Cancer Gene

Hereditary breast cancer caused by mutation of BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene progresses through different pathways. Even though both mutant genes lead to breast and ovarian cancers, they differentially affect expression of other genes. By analyzing gene expression profile using microarray technique different cases of hereditary cancer can be identified.
