A new study shows that very early in chemotherapy premenopausal breast cancer patients, who experience irregular menstrual cycles, also show significant bone loss. Such chemotherapy-induced ovarian function loss observed in majority of breast cancer patients can cause osteoporosis in long run. These patients should be monitored for bone loss and treated accordingly.
