Early results of a new treatment for inoperable liver cancer shows promising results, report researchers at the 37^th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology in San Francisco. The unique targeted therapy, called TheraSphere, provides radiation directly to liver tumors by delivering irradiated microscopic glass beads through a catheter placed into the femoral and hepatic arteries.
