New Enzyme Inhibitors Take Aim at Tumor Growth

Several new cancer treatments are taking aim at the pathways that regulate tumor growth. These new drugs now in development are among a new generation of treatments that block the biochemical switches that turn cells cancerous. Several promising new targets against specific oncogenes where revealed at the 37th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in San Francisco.
