Cyclin D1 and Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is the most common malignancy among women, affecting as many as one out of nine women. Most cases of breast cancer involve over-expression of the cyclin D1 protein that regulates the cell cycle. Two recent studies highlight how cyclin D1 levels affect breast cancer and may offer a target for cancer therapies.
