Volume 10Issue Number 7 July 2001 ISSN 10593802 Cyclin D1 and Breast CancerBreast cancer is the most common malignancy among women, affecting as many as one out of nine women. Most cases of breast cancer involve over-expression of the cyclin D1 protein that regulates the cell cycle. Two recent studies highlight how cyclin D1 levels affect breast cancer and may offer a target for cancer therapies.
